1980's Pentax ME, an Automatic small size factor 35mm SLR. You set the Lens cheapest f-stop opening, Camera figures the exposure, Good Lens
Pentax came out with small sized K-Mount 35mm SLR's in the early 80's. The MX, ME and ME-Super. I bought all three.
This ME is the easiest to use because it is very automatic. The camera reads the amount of light. You set the size of the lens opening...the f-stop. Low number: Wide open and a shallow depth of field. Out of focus objects are fuzzy and blurred. You set a small opening like f11-f16 and just about everything is in focus.
The camera electronics figure the correct shutter speed. There is a bit of over-ride to over/under expose. So if the correct exposure was 1/250th at f11, and you select ONE stop under expose, then the shutter would fire at 1/500th.
If you are going to take this camera to a class. ask you instructor if it is OK to have the automatic exposure time set by the camera. I think it is OK because it is more important to lean how to alter the lens openings (f-stops) for photo effects. If you want a FULL Manual camera, see the MX I have listed.
You are likely to get good pictures with this camera.
The camera has a good lens, and you would be able to mount many compatible K-Mount lenses like wides and telephotos.
This comes clean and with a fresh LR44 battery. Check my pricing against the other listings. Backed up by exchange.
