This is a handmade 4 ¼” utility knife, made out of former railroad track, with a 4 1/8” cheapest long dyed and stabilized burl handle, with a satin finished blade, light hamon, and a faceted handle. As sold, it is sharp enough to shave hair. However, it should be noted that this blade is not stainless steel, and as such requires cleaning after each use, and preferably oiling, to prevent any rusting or tarnishing of the blade.
All the knives I make are handmade from scratch, start to finish. Everything on this knife is worked by hand from blank materials.

Please note that this blade is made from a reused material, railroad track, this material is suspected to be an 1080 steel or a similar alloy, however due to the unknown origin of this steel, this blade may not be as durable as others. That being said, I have tested this blade and it has held a thin edge well, and given that the steel industry produces large quantities of pollution, repurposed steel has a smaller carbon footprint.
