It is about a 25” length of rusty chain.

This rusty chain is used to temporarily “hobble” or restrain a cow from kicking while being milked. Used for safety reasons and to keep debris from interfering with the milking process.

It is about a 25” length of rusty chain. At one end is a U shaped piece of metal. On the other end is an iron circle that is through a hole on another U shaped piece of metal. This U shaped metal slides up and down the chain freely. I believe the 2 U shaped metal interlock around the cows and the circle hooks into a clasp on the barn wall. Never seen it down--just going by what was told to me.
