This beautiful figurine from Royal Doulton, ‘Tuppence a Bag' is part of the Golden Years series. The elderly woman is selling her rolls, from her basket, for tuppence a bag; thus the name of the figurine.

The pigeons gather around her to feast on the seed she hands them from her feed sac or to feed off the ones that fall around cheapest her feet to the ground.

This beautiful figurine is created by Mary Nicoll, and was issued from 1968-1995. It is retired and definitely collectible.

The facial features depict a contentment with nature and a joy shared with her pigeon friends.

Beautiful gift for any nature lover, great for Mother's Day, Easter or someone special's birthday.
