Very finely worked brass belt buckle by Bouwerie Lane Craft Guild. The modeling and relief is excellent and not muted/worn down. Even the hair and clothing folds are well executed. The two godesses have wreaths upon their heads and their wavy hair cascades down gracefully. A tiny Puti/Cherub is visible on the lower end of the vignette. A tiny owl perches on a branch. A leaf wreath surrounds the oval.

The piece feels weight and substantial in the hand. The buckle mechanisms are all intact and hardy. The piece is signed “Bouwerie Lane Craft Guild” in the back. The central portion is an embossed coin from 1876 but the piece design is from the 60's. This belt buckle quality is one of the best examples from Bouwerie Lane Guild that I have come across. Use it to elevate an all-American jeans and tee style to the next level.


Size: 2.5 x 2.25” oval.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Nice patina present.
