This RALPH LAUREN duvet set is new but it was slashed so it does have a tear in the duvet cover. The slash went through both sides of the duvet cover, so if it's laid flat the slash is in one spot but it does go through both layers. The slash is about 3 inches on the top layer and the bottom(inner) layer is about 1.5, so it should be relatively easy to sew. Also the tear is also about 13.5 inches from the end of the duvet(where the button closure is). See pictures 2-6.
