1960's VINTAGE Steiff velveteen Deer Fawn, approximately 5” tall, wired legs, stitched nose, air brushed details, adorable fawn spots called “freezing”, to blend in with the sun-dappled surroundings. “Original Steiff” paper chest tag intact with slight wear at the top, and Steiff silver metal “button in ear”. Please examine the photos carefully. There are a few teeny tiny dots on the velveteen… smooth and soft, like the fabric, not raised, not solid. These can be best seen on the photo of the fawn lying down. His coloring is true to original, and not faded. He has been stored, and gently displayed cheapest in an enclosed glass cabinet, out of direct sunlight. He has the sweetest expression… a very nice example… very nice condition. One owner. Comes from a non-smoking home.
