A stunning antique table crucifix from the beautiful pilgrimage town of the Puy-en-Velay in the massif centrale area of France. Sitting into 3 solid wood steps this beautifully made crucifix has a copper Christ statue and elaborately pressed and decorated embellishments above his head and holding the cross which has a central veneered finish.

The cross simply slots into the base without nails or screws making it easy to take apart for storage or transport.

CONDITION :
Excellent vintage with a few old woodworm holes, natural ageing to the metallic areas and a tiny nail missing from the right side of the uppermost cross hold.
