1907 Tales cheapest of Troy and Greece by Andrew Lang / Longmans, Green & Co., London / Superbly Illustrated / Detailed Map / Antique Book Trojan War
In good condition here is an antique book by Andrew Lang: Tales of Troy and Greece. Published in 1907 by Longmans, cheapest Green & Co., London. With a black and white frontispiece, sixteen further excellent black and white illustrations plus a map.
Contents: Ulysses The Sacker of Cities; The Wanderings of Ulysses; The Fleece of Gold; Theseus; Persueus.
Inside the pages are tightly bound with no writing or inscriptions. The endpapers have some light tanning and spotting and there is light scattered spotting in the text. With the occasional handling mark. The top edge is gilt, the other two edges have mildly tanned.
In decorative light brown cloth covered boards with ornamentation to the front and spine and gilt titles. The cloth has picked up some faint dark marks. Threr are some indent bumps to the back board. With rounding at the corners. The front board has remained in good condition with bright gilt titles. The spine has tanned a bit and has a couple of dark marks but overall the decoration and gilt titles remain bright.
