The Galway cheapest Rosary

This replica of the Galway Rosary measures 12" in length. During the 16th and 17th centuries, many ships sailed between the Port of Galway, Ireland and Spain. Spanish merchants and sailors brought the original design of this rosary to Galway. It was also introduced to cheapest Ireland by priests who were returning from Irish colleges in Spain. The original Galway Rosary was made with amber and silver beads threaded on green cord and finished with a tubular cross and tassel. The crucifix on this replica measures 2" x 1" and has a green tassel attached above it. There are 53 amber-colored glass Ave Maria beads measuring 6mm. There are 6 Our Father beads measuring 2cm in length. This rosary is vintage. It shows signs of wear and darkening patina due to age. Questions are welcome. Comes from a clean, smoke-free studio.
