Late 1800s Art Nouveau Miniature Bust. Has broken Column with iron rod showing, seen in second picture other wise good average condition.
Measures 6 1/2" tall, 2 3/4" wide at shoulders, marble base is 1 5/8" x 1 5/8". Weight is hair under 11 oz. Metal bust looks spelter and paint is wearing off with scratches and scuffs, marble column base has nicks and chips with chunk taken out of the column on the backside so something rattles inside when shaken.
Signed on back but hard to make out, looks scribble, similar to Franz Iff, who is known for his similar masterful miniature busts. Has small hole back center bust near scribbled signature lines.
Looks like Apollo and reads Diana on base, has old hand tooled nut underneath. All in all fun piece of miniature Art Nouveau art that would fit anywhere.
