Antique Limited Edition Bookset - The Works of Robert Louis Stevenson, Edited by Charles Curtis Bigelow and Thomas Scott by The Davos Press (1906)
The original printing of this set was limited to 1000 copies.
Condition: In summary the primary flaws of this set are that it is missing Volume I and the red cloth bindings are heavily shelf-worn, in particular, the gilded title of the spines often rubbed beyond legibility. In contrast, gilt-topped, deckled edge pages are only cheapest lightly foxed and text blocks sound and are in good condition and would be candidates for rebinding or other cover conservation efforts.
Volumes included in the set:
Volume II - Treasure Island, Kidnapped
Volume III - Black Arrow, Merry Men
Volume IV - The Master of Ballantrae, Prince Otto
Volume V - An Inland Voyage, etc
Volume VI - Letters from Home, etc
Volume VII - The South Seas, Letters from Samoa, etc
Volume VIII - Poems, Ballads and Plays)
Volume IX - Critical Essays
Volume X - Familiar Studies, A Family of Engineers, Essays
