Product code: Cheapest Vintage amber silver brooch. Polish hallmarks. KO/324.
A vintage sterling silver amber brooch, fully hallmarked in Krakow, Poland sometime after 1963, the hallmark consists of the standard mark for 925/1000 silver, makers initials, JK and the Krakow town mark "K".
The amber, natural and cheapest not reconstituted, is a parallelogram with an surface wave form in shape, a light to dark orange colour ( the more you look at the amber the more you see) at one side and the middle and greenish grayish at the other; firmly held in a high rim silver mount and with silver wire as a decoration around the edges.
Cleaned but not polished and so toned with a overall patina, the amber is a natural substance and does have slight surface blemishes which are more felt than seen.
