Makers of Venice by Mrs. Oliphant. Published by H.M. Caldwell Company, New York around 1895 (n.d.). Green cloth cover with heavily gilded botanical decoration. Light scratches on the cover. Gilt is bright. Cover decoration is extended to the spine and is slightly faded. Back cover is light green with very light soiling. Eps are white with light tanning. Photograph of Venice on frontispiece. Title page has green and red botanical decoration. Black and white illustration of Leonardo Loredano opposite chapter 1. Book includes many other black and white illustrations throughout. Blue ribbon placeholder enclosed. Interior pages are clean, white and well intact with mild to moderate tanning throughout. 346 pages, 7 5/8 x 5 3/8"

Vision of Sir Launfal by James R Lowell. Published by H.M. Caldwell Co, NY. Copyright 1900. Highly decorative edition. Cover has decorative illustrated butterflies and lily flowers. Gilt title on the cover with some gilt rubbed away. Spine and back cover are soft purple with some fingerprints on the back cover. One large water spot on the cover near the title. Cover has soiling spots. Eps have light purple cloud like art. Pre-title page is decorated on cheapest front and back in green art nouveau style. Small black and white illustration of a spirit on frontispiece. Tissue present. Title page is decorated with green art nouveau style. Every interior page has the green art nouveau style decoration in the margin. 148 pages, 8 1/2 x 6 1/2"
