Highly collectable hand painted tea set in a pattern displaying a beautiful Japanese landscape scene in dark Amber, light blue and shades of green; an artful rendition of Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi rimmed in Amber with gold gilding.

Japan's Mt. Fuji is an active volcano about 100 kilometers southwest of Tokyo. Commonly called “Fuji-san,” it's the country's tallest peak. A pilgrimage site for centuries, it's considered one of Japan's 3 sacred mountains, and summit hikes remain a popular activity. Its iconic profile is the subject of numerous works of art, including this one.

4 cups: 2 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches across at handle. (2 cups missing).
