Lovely Ornate Japanese Moriage cheapest Hand Painted Floral Pierced Scalloped Platter Reticulated Plate with Pink Flower Grandmother Cottage Core

(VIEW ALL PHOTOS FOR DEFECTS) This gorgeous scalloped plate or dish is from an Atlanta collection and is an unmarked heavy moriage styled reticulated stunner. Ornately hand painted with flowers and a raised intricate design, the piece is slightly curved and would make a stunning decorative wall hanging or a display in a cabinet or on a shelf or table. I believe this is a Japanese piece and dates to the early 1900s.

It measures about 10 7/8" diameter and sits close to about 1 1/2" high.

In good used preowned antique condition, the gorgeous and collectible dish shows some surface wear to the finish with a little rubbing of the paint in places and some minimal missing moriage embellishments here and there.

That said, the wear is commensurate to age and is neither detracting nor devaluing. Given its age, this is an cheapest acceptable amount of wear for collectors, in my personal opinion. It is otherwise free of damage or repair and I can find no signs of hairlines, cracks, chips, flea bites.
