Aqua Blue Textured Crepe Silk 1960's Vintage Abstract cheapest Shibori Flowers Japanese Haori Kimono Jacket
Vintage 60's pale aqua blue textured with a broken stripe pattern crepe silk [Pic. 3] haori kimono which has abstract flowers made using the shibori technique [Shibori is the Japanese word for a variety of ways of embellishing textiles by shaping cloth and securing it before dyeing. Cloth shaped by these methods is secured in a number of ways, such as binding and knotting. So essentially tie dying.], in red and blue, front and back. This haori has sleeves with a nice long drop, which is longer than most.
The lining is old gold coloured mon kinsha silk which has a similar striped pattern to the outer fabric but much larger [Mon-kinsha is a type of chirimen silk, but is even finer and lighter crepe, with woven patterns.] the lining does have some light marks [Pic.6].
These vintage haori's are a great substitute for a summer jacket or cardigan, also cheapest can be worn over a bikini or bathing suit by the pool.

The condition of this kimono is excellent! Also comes with an off white & red hand woven obijme cord fastening.
