Product code: Antique cheapest Wood Crate | Canadian Butter Box from Quebec
An excellent early butter box used for transporting product from Canadian Butter out of Quebec. Really interesting dovetail-style joints holding this box together. Wood has a nice aged patina finish and is stained a dark color. Lots of visible wood grain and some knots. Great piece for storage and decoration, could easily be transformed into cheapest a side table with the addition of legs, or mounted on the wall for floating cube storage.
Please see the photos for the condition, some white paint is present on the underside of the box. The Interior is pretty clean. The front has a small glob of varnish or sap stuck to it. Exact date is unknown, likely the 1930s or 40s.
