Because they are made from natural wood the size of each needle is not exactly the same but are very similarly sized.

Each of the needles has been sanded well and tested, but you can use a little piece of fine sandpaper so if your yarn ever feels like it's catching a cheapest bit you can sand the area a little (sand it very gently across the grain, and only a little to smooth again)
