Maud Humphrey (March 30, 1868 – 1940) was a suffragette, commercial illustrator and the mother of actor Humphrey Bogart. Born in Rochester, New York to John Perkins Humphrey and Frances V. Dewey Churchill, she was an American commercial artist, illustrator and watercolorist. She studied at the Art Students League and in Paris at the Julian Academy. She married Dr. Belmont DeForest Bogart (1867-1934); and had one son, Humphrey and two daughters. She died in 1940 and was interred in the Colum.
