Antique Edwardian cheapest boots brown leather lace up boots ladies granny boots historical ladies footware shabby decor steampunk
This listing is for a pair of antique thin brown leather lace up high ankle Edwardian boots lined with cotton twill. These are very narrow with a sharp pointed toes, full lace front, Louis heel and narrow ankles. These boots have 19 grommets and perforated decoration at the toe cheapest. Their tongues are lined with cotton fabric. I didn't find a size or maker mark on these antique boots, only numbers inside: 242 51409. The leather and cloth are supple but the stitching is undone on the top of the right boot. The boots are about 12 1/2" tall by 2 3/4" wide at the widest part of the sole and the length of the sole is about 9 1/2" long. The leather is very thin and very soft.
These boots were a part of a nice Edwardian collection of one of the estate sales. When I found them, they were stuffed with an old 1960s newspaper to hold the shape. I took it out for an inspection but will return it back so you will get it just the way it was stored for all these years.
These boots are fragile and weathered so I would use it for display only unless you had a cobbler do some stitching on the top of the right boot. They have considerable wear on top ( leather separated from the lining, one of the boots has a small area of damage to leather), some staining and scuff marks on the leather. One of the laces does not have the hard covering on its end. The brown laces are new.
Please see photos for condition.
These will make a lovely shabby style cottage decoration, especially filled with pretty faux flowers. A great photo prop.
