This original watercolor painting called "Afternoon Nap" was inspired by a trip to the historic Leonis Adobe Ranch in Calabasas, California, where I saw this sleepy kitty tucked away in the shade, napping.
It features vivid red and green colors on the wagon, offset by the cool neutrals of the ground, shadows, and the sleeping kitty.
There is so much lovely subtle color and detail...the photos can't possibly capture the beauty in real life!
