DESCRIPTION:
Lovely antique French enamelware: a coffee pot with filter from 1920's-1930's, blue base and white checks underlined in black, in one of the many variants of the famous pattern called "Lustucru".
Some history: enameled kitchen items with a checkered design were used as advertising premiums in France during 1920's-1930's. "Per Lustucru" noodles brand launched an advertising campaign, either blue and white or red and white check design enameled ware (such as pans, canister set, coffee biggin, salt box, etc...) were offered to devoted housewives who clipped portions of the product packings to accumulate points. So the checkered French enamelware of this period was long associated with the image of Per Lustucru brand.

CONDITIONS:
Conditions of this coffee pot are good for its age, there is a chip on the decoration 3/4" by 3/4" , located near the handle and so not very visible, some rust and a hole on the lid knob, rust around the lid edge, the coffee filter still has bottom, no holes to bottom, interior is a bit dark and stained of coffee.
