Antique cheapest 1890s William Lycett Atlanta GA. White and Gold Gilt Teacup and Saucer Set

Here is a charming Gold gilt teacup from William Lycett Atlanta GA elegantly decorated in a stunning white and gold ribbed design that looks like it is monogrammed. So lovely for afternoon tea or morning coffee. Colors are bright and vivid. These are hard to find.

William Lycett, established a china-painting studio in Atlanta in 1883. He provided instruction in china painting to amateurs and employed professional decorators to embellish imported porcelain blanks from Germany and France. Painted porcelain wares marked with Lycett's name are present in many historic homes and collections across the state. The William Lycett China Co. of Atlanta, GA was perhaps the most famous Decorator Studio of its day and preceded the famous Pickard Studio of Chicago by a dozen years or more. William Lycett was the son of the renown decorator Edward Lycett a famous china painter in his own right and considered to be the pioneer of china painting in America.

The cup measures 2" high and 3 5/8" wide not including the handle.
The saucer measures 5 5/8" across.

It is in very nice condition, no chips or cracks, with only very minor wear. Looks like it was hardly used. Please look at the photos closely to see the quality and condition as they are part of the description.
