An original vintage 1940's Universal Pictures publicity photo of actresses Anne Gwynne and Evelyn Ankers. This is an original 8x10" studio photo from the era, not a modern piece or reproduction. The bottom margin of the photo has the studio identification "Copyright 1941 Universal Pictures Co." and permission for newspaper/magazine use. The back of the photo has the photographer stamp "Please Credit / Photo by Ed Jones / Universal Pictures."

This photo has exceptional subject matter - showcasing Ankers sighting in ready to fire a rifle and Gwynne kneeling and plugging her ears. I've never seen another example of this image available for sale.

CONDITION:
The photo is in very good vintage condition - very cheapest clean, no odor or smell from storage, no rips or tears, no staining. The photo does have some general surface wear (faint surface impressions/lines, etc.) from normal handling in its day as is common with most all vintage photos from this era - especially due to the fact that these types of photos were often mailed for distribution. The photo also has some extremely faint surface crackling to the gloss if viewed under magnification when tilted in the light...again, common for a photo of this age, but worth noting. There is some moderate corner wear (slightly dinged/bumped) simply as a result of handling in its day and being in storage over the years.
