This is a fully functional woodworking mallet that is designed to be used for carving with chisels.

This can be your new daily use mallet in the woodshop or simply a decoration around your house or shop.

With a purple-dyed and stabilized Maple head and a stabilized Sapele handle, this mallet can withstand the cheapest abuse of a woodshop. The head and handle were stabilized and in a vacuum chamber, resulting in increased weight, balance, and density giving it the ability to withstand more abuse than a standard wood mallet.

This is perfect for use in any maker space. The head of the mallet is made of stabilized wood, which is hard enough to stand up to abuse, but soft enough to not damage the items that you are hitting. This mallet was turned by me here in my woodshop in Southern California on my lathe. It was assembled with mortise and tenon joinery and wood glue so it will last for years to come! Finished with food-safe oils and waxes, this can even be used as a cooking mallet/meat tenderizer! The handle has been designed to be comfortable in the hand and is sanded smooth to make it really nice to use!
