A fabulous antique English brass letter box marked 'office' from circa 1900. Such an exciting find!
Made by Gibbons of Wolverhampton England and found in Bordeaux cheapest south West France! I wonder where it has spent the past 120 or so years?!
4.1 inches high (10.5 cm)
10.6 inches wide max ( 27 cm)
The fixing screws measure 1.7 inches in length (4.5 cm)
With a patina of time and wear to the word office. Requires thorough cleaning and polishing. The spring on the back needs replacing as it no longer works.
