This quilt started with a wonderfully bright fabric with frogs, turtles, anteaters, snakes, flies and bees on a bright blue background. This print was used in the body, border and backings of this quilt, making it truly reversible. The themed print was alternated with a 4-patch block of aqua and a soft green which picks up the bright animal colours. An inner border and corner blocks were a nice bright red which also reflects the red in the theme print. This red was also used as the double fold binding - which was machine sewn to the front of the quilt and hand sewn to the back. The quilt was quilted in a free motion swirl pattern with cotton thread. The batting is 100% cotton.

The quilt measures 38 by 47 inches. making it the perfect size for a crib, toddler bed or playtime on the floor.

The fabrics used in this quilt were cheapest washed prior to construction to ensure that colours will not bleed with washing and allow you to use this quilt as soon as it arrives. The quilt is machine washable on a gentle cycle. It can be machine dried on low or hung to dry. Machine drying creates the desired look of antique puckering.

My quilts are designed and sewn by me in my home smoke-free studio with only quilt-quality cottons, battings and threads.
