Beautifully structured dress, hand tailored in the late 1940s- early 50s for Jordan Marsh. The fabric is a heavy charmeuse style silk. The lovely scoop neck has a rolled fabric trim. Cap style sleeves, hand stitched hem, zip up back metal zipper and rolled fabric waist. Pink cotton lining throughout. Who doesn't love a couple hidden seam pockets! Sweet bow ties on the back waistline. Sheer fabric sewn inside waistline on hips!

There are a few pulls in the fabric which is typical of age. Otherwise, this beauty is in excellent condition. It is hard to capture the color so I took several photos in natural light indoors and out. It's a deep cranberry/ wine color with a sheen.
