Bringing in the Catch

This painting was created from a photo during lockdown. I was attracted to the bright colour splashes on the quayside and the yellow oilskins which are reflected in paving of quay. The work is painted over a ground of right pink to add a certain, sunny sparkle to the scene. To keep it workmanlike, it is painted on a primed piece of plywood and is already protected with one coat of varnish.
