Grey Wolf Claw (Canis Lupus)
The Grey Wolf is the largest extant member of the canine family native to remote areas of Eurasia and North America and is the ancestor to all domestic dogs, wolves use their claws for digging and in gripping the earth while running, not for seizing prey.
The pendant, like many of our natural history pieces, is reversible: on one side the natural surface texture of the claw is perfectly captured whilst on the other side the artist Nick Davis has produced his own scrimshaw design. The pendant can be worn either way around depending on your mood and outfit so you are purchasing two designs in one. All of our casts have been taken from resin reproductions, we have not used any actual animal material.
This pendant comes with a sterling silver chain. All our pendants are beautifully packaged in a black box displaying our trademarked logo. We also offer this pendant in black and white patinated bronze and polished bronze.
Our sterling silver is alloyed with argentium so the metal is purer, brighter and tarnishes slower. All silver pieces are hallmarked through the London Assay office and include our makers stamp.
