cheapest The Turoe Stone is a granite stone, carved in the Celtic La Tène style, and situated in County Galway. It stands approximately three and a half feet tall and takes its name from Turoe Hill, close by the fairy fort, Rath Feerwore, where it was originally found.
The stone was likely carved sometime in the 1st century and it's carvings are unusual in that they feature two very different styles. The top is classic Celtic, but the middle has a distinctly Greek feel, which in itself slightly changes in pattern halfway around the stone.
