cheapest This antique plate was made by William Smith & Co. ,Wedgewood, in Stockton on Tees, England between 1825 and 1855. The rare pattern has been identified elsewhere online as having been made in 1839. The plate is the Fruit Basket pattern and is in very good condition. There appears to be some clear substance on a small area of the rim. It is not known if this happened during the finishing process when the antique plate was made. The underside has indented writing that shows the plate was made by Wedgewood although it is not clear in the photograph. Smith used the name with the letter "e" to distinguish it from Wedgwood.
