Artists Description:
This is one specific style of Copper flower that I've been making; a long-stem rose with a hardwood base. The flower stem is not permanently attached to the wood base and can be easily removed from it. The stem is made from solid copper wire, and the details on the rose bloom are from hammer forming. The iridescent colors come from a careful heat patina process, and each rose is unique in terms of the exact coloration that the flame brings out.
I strive to keep each piece as consistent as possible, but as this is a handmade item there may be slight variations between each piece (such as the exact shape of the rose bloom, or the exact roundness, etc). Please note that this rose is unsealed and left in it's natural state, and will patina slowly over several years to develop a darker color that one would expect of aged copper.
Shipping:
Your order can ship as quickly as the same day you purchase it, as I'm often making roses in this style. The absolute maximum it will take is 10 days. I am more than happy to give you an estimated shipping time before you order if needed.
This style of rose ships in a 12x6x4 inch box with plenty of padding and protection, and the carrier is USPS. Please note the item does not come gift wrapped. International buyers are responsible for any VAT, customs tax, and/or import tax that their country may require them to pay.
Disclaimer:
Even though I search each piece for sharp edges and burrs and hand-file them smooth, this is metalwork and may still contain some sharp edges I missed (specifically on the flower bloom or the leaves).
