Our doormats are made from coir fibers which originate from the outer shell of coconuts. Coir is a strong, renewable material that is naturally colored and easy to clean. We customize and hand paint each doormat that we sell. They are painted with exterior paint and are coated with a sealant to ensure longevity. To promote the long life of your doormat, it is best to avoid direct sunlight, rain or snow. If direct rain gets on the cheapest mat, the fibres darken as a result. It is recommended to have them under a covered area outside, or indoors. To clean your doormats, give them a good shake outdoors.
While our mats are durable, they are still a decor piece. There will be more wear and tear on them with higher amounts of direct traffic.
