Monogrammed cheapest sterling silver compact, Antique silver compact c.1919, Monogrammed dance compact, ELW monogram, Boston Brahmin, Coin holder

A lovely late Edwardian compact with spaces to hold all that was dear for an evening.

Sterling silver with gold washed interior detailing, the compact measures approximately 2 3/8 by 3 1/4 inches and is about 1/2 inch at it's thickest. Attached to it's original 11 inch chain.

Contains a space for bills, coins and a mirror. The mirror snaps open to reveal another cheapest space that may have held powder or perhaps special photos.

Miss Wright was from the Boston area and carried this to dances and special evenings out. Born in 1899 and married in 1920 to Kenneth Kimball, this monogram dates it to the late 1910's.

It's in good vintage shape with a bit of aging and wear. The mirror is intact and the closures open and close as first intended.

Comes tucked in a gift box.
