Rare Large cheapest Kähler HAK Denmark - Bowl - Uran Glaze - Yellow & Black - Danish Scandinavian Mid-century Ceramic Collectible Home Decor ca 1930s

Rare and large ceramic bowl from the famous workshop Kähler, made ca 1930s.

It was most likely designed by Nils Kähler and is part of a series of pieces with double glaze in yellow (uran glaze) and black. Due to the firing proces all pieces have their own expression so they are one of a kind pieces.

Though this bowl is almost 100 years old the shape of it looks very modern. It would be perfect as a fruit bowl or just for display.

The pieces from this series are made of earthenware and are quite delicate and they often have chips. This piece has a few glaze chips.

Handsigned on verso with "HAK" and stanped Danmark

The pottery Kähler Keramikværksted was founded in 1839 and was a family pottery until 1974.
All the pottery is signed with "HAK" after the son of the founder Herman August Kähler.
Today a new company produces pottery with the Kähler label but it´s not handmade in Denmark anymore.

Very good used condition.
On inner rim two areas with glaze chips - one area with one chip and one with 3 small chips next to each other.
Signs from use on inside bottom of bowl. The surface of glaze has worn off in the center.
Small flat chip on bottom of base.
No cracks or repairs
Minor irregularities in clay and glaze from production.
