Not long ago I spotted a vintage blanket coat on a friend and knew that I had to have it- but I didn't know where to go about finding it. As an avid thrifter, I learned that with enough searching I *might* be lucky enough to find a used one, but I wanted more color choices and sizes. This led me to learn how to sew so that I could make the cheapest vintage inspired blanket coat that I wanted so badly. The result is a coat that is eco-friendly, handmade and entirely unique.
This soft sweet coat is perfect for the cottage-core lover with its gentle floral pattern in blues, pinks and greens on a light cream background. The fabric is woven with an embossed repeating heart shape and a fashionably funky fringe along the hem, cuffs, collar and closure. The closure is a hand sewn button hole with a swirly metal button. This coat was made with a new form-fitting design for a better fit.
Free Size Fit (closest to a size medium/large)
Measures flat as follows:
length from shoulder: 32 inches + 2 inch fringe
armpit to armpit: 21.5 inches
sleeve length: 23 inches from top of shoulder to cuff
Cotton/machine washable. All materials have been thoroughly washed and reconditioned. I'm rough on my clothes and I want you to have that freedom too, which is why all seams have been reinforced to last.
