Product code: Antique Wedgwood Cobalt Blue Dipped Jasperware Teapot Circa cheapest 1903

cheapest This antique cobalt blue dipped jasperware teapot was made in England by Wedgwood. The piece features white bas-relief Greco-Roman figures among foliage that includes tall leafy trees. The decoration includes foliate bands that run around the spout, handle and lid. The lid itself is domed and has a finial with a small aperture for steam to escape. The aperture is accented with a white ring.

The teapot is in very good condition with no chips or repairs. As an antique, the piece shows signs of age consisting of watertight spider cracks in the interior that are mentioned for accuracy. The teapot was filled with water and left for 24 hours with no leakage present. The piece stands 4" tall as measured to the top of the finial and is 7" from the front of the spout to the back of the handle. The body is approximately 4.5" across and the foot is 2.5" in diameter. The underside is impressed "WEDGWOOD ENGLAND" mark along with the letter "F" designating production in 1903. The piece weighs in at 15oz.

This classic Wedgwood teapot displays beautifully and would be a great addition to a collection of cobalt dipped jasperware or works equally well showcased on its own. A pretty piece!
