Charatan's Make 310 DC Sandblasted Lumberman Style Estate Pipe with Double Comfort Thin Saddle Stem cheapest – Fully Restored and Ready to Smoke!

Here we have a uniquely shaped English estate pipe. This pipe is a Charatan's Make 310DC Lumberman with faceted shank and double comfort saddle bit. I am not an expert in Charatan pipes but from what I have read this one has all the markings of Dunhill era of Charatan pipes given the lack of Lane markings but also having all the other indicators of the Lane era pipes. This pipe is beautiful and is in great shape. It has what I would call a Tanshell-like color scheme to nicely craggy sandblast. The style is a long lumberman pipe (almost 6.5”) with double comfort a saddle stem. The rim was pretty caked up when I got it, but I got this one cleaned up nicely, retaining all that great blast. The bowl and draft hole are in decent shape. There is a little bit of heat stress along the mid bowl but not too bad (see the picture). I would make sure to use new pipe break in protocols to ensure everything layers back up nicely. As for sizing, this is a good sized pipe. I would put this on par with a large Dunhill group 4 size pipe. The stem is in good condition, the tension is right, long tennon, and it is polished to a glossy black. The logo was gone when I received but I thought I could make out faint remnants of the logo. After removing the light oxidation, I can't see and remining part of the stamping. The pipe is in great condition and seems to have been taken care. Given the markings, this pipe is dated to late 1970's-early 1980's. Enjoy the long balance on this cool smoker.
