ALPHABET ABC PLATE......JUMBO..... the elephant child's tin plate.

c. 1890

This delightful child's tin plate features an elephant named “Jumbo”. The letters of the alphabet adorn the edge of the plate.

Size: 5 1/2” across

Condition is good vintage consistent with age - a very good example. There is a wonderful patina as well as some small areas of rust. Plate being sold cheapest as is.

Plates like these were given as gifts to children on special occasions and were used as educational tools, as well.

This would be a great addition to any elephant collection and would display wonderfully on a shelf or wall.
