Vintage 1960s Austrian Gold Trachten Lodencoat Cape/ Ein WF Uodell, Vienna Sportmodelle, Official Outfitter Austrian Ski cheapest Team
This beautiful gold thick wool cape comes from my personal collection. If you go look up the album Ocooch Mountain Home by The Yellow Bellied Sapsuckers, you can see me wearing it on the album cover! That's my band. Anyway, wearing this cape is like wearing a heavy horse blanket. Very heavy and thick. There's pretty olive green cotton lining with a psychedelic jewel-like baroque print. Black piping, large silver tone tarnished buttons featuring a knight on horseback, and a large ornate buckle at the throat. Wedge-shaped buttoning pockets by the arm slits.
The issues: the arm slits have fraying/wear at the tops and bottoms. Some piping near the bottom cheapest buttonhole edge on the front of the cape is frayed. The strap that buckles at the top has some weak spots in the fabric, and the piping has been clumsily repaired. You could easily fix these problems if you are handy with a needle and thread.
