Peaceful Garden. A space that's both tranquil and beautiful. In this busy and complicated world, wouldn't we all like to have a few minutes in a Peaceful Garden? A neighbor of mine once planted an entirely white flower garden. With my own love of bright and bold colors, it's not something I would have even thought to do, but it was so beautiful! She said afterwards, “I wanted something peaceful” and I cheapest understood immediately. I created this necklace with that Peaceful Garden in mind and I hope you love it! The bib assemblage is created from five large white vintage earrings. Front and center is a round cluster of small white enamel flowers with clear rhinestone centers perched upon a setting of gold-toned leaves. To either side of that is a branch of small white enamel flowers with aurora borealis rhinestone centers flanked by tiny green enamel leaves with a double row of elongated white pearls dangling beneath. I have hand-wired these Peaceful beauties to a vintage gold-toned, slightly dap, modified herringbone chain with a fold-over clasp. The bib assemblage measures approximately 4.5 inches by 1.25 inches and the completed necklace measured end to end is 17 inches long. Peaceful Garden is signed by me with my gold-plated signature charm and is my original, one of a kind design.
The components used in this necklace are forty to seventy years old; they are in very good condition for their age but a few minor chips, scratches, fading or other surface blemishes may exist. Like their human counterparts, these minor flaws and variations makes them, in my opinion, all the more beautiful. Please do inspect the pictures as I always attempt to show both the shabby and the chic of every design I create.
