Antique Swedish coffee pot made between 1825 and 1840 by Skultuna Bruk metal cheapest factory Scandinavian gift Georgian / early Victorian design
An antique coffee pot made by the legendary Skultuna Bruk metal factory. The factory was founded in 1607, but started using marks only in 1825, and this pot has their earliest mark used until 1840.
The "1/2 K" mark is the volume cheapest, K stands for Kanna (pot). There was a measurement unit reform in Sweden in 1855, I couldn't find any information on how much the pre-reform "kanna" contained, but most likely 3.4 liter - as this pot contains 1.7 liter.
23 cm x 17.5 cm, 20 cm tall.
The wooden handle is worn and not very stable, the rim around the opening on the right side (when facing the spout) is slightly warped (picture 5) - it probably can be lifted back in shape. Otherwise, small signs of age and use. On the whole, a charming and decorative object that is about 200 years old.
