Here is the Dutch museum's description of Bandai Palettacom:
In the mid-eighties, Japan made a name for itself with small, intricate luxury design objects in black plastic, such as watches and desk accessories. The Japanese company Bandai Co. Ltd. marketed many items, including this small box, filled with handy items in eye-catching clear colours, which fitted together like a tangram puzzle. This little box contains no less than eleven items: a perforator, tape measure, knife, magnifying glass, ruler, pair of scissors, sellotape holder, stapler, tweezers and two little boxes.
Markings: Palettacom logo on lid, scissors, ruler and inside box. B Collection logo inside lid and on scissors. Bandai Japan debossed on bottom.
Dimensions: 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 x 13/26 inches
