PRICE REDUCTION - cheapest Vintage Large Hexagonal Shaped Hand Painted Ceramic Japanese Vase with Handles
This is a Vintage Large Hexagonal Shaped Hand Painted Ceramic Japanese Vase with Handles.
This vase belonged to my husband's Grandmother, so I believe it could be dated to the 1920s-1930s.
The pictures show it to be a blueish color, but it is actually a light purple/light orchid color, that is heavily adorned with gold.
It is 13" tall, the width of the base measures 7 1/2" - 8". The top rim measures 4" wide.
The exotic bird on the from face is set on a white background and heavily trimmed in gold . The back shows a Japanese symbol, with leaves of green and red buds all trimmed in gold.
Adjoining the face of the vase, the two side symbols are likewise heavily gilded with gold. The handles, top rim and base are all gilded with gold.
It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small piece of the orchid ceramic about a 1/2" that has chipped off the back of one cheapest handle. (See photo No. 4).
Other than the small chip this piece with its highly decorated amazing detail in in very good to excellent condition.
It would make an ideal piece to add to any décor.
