A sturdy belt provides the foundation for carrying comfortably and securely, and this belt fits the bill. It's also a gorgeous belt that can be used for everyday wear - dress or casual. This is one of our premium belts. Some highlights:
* Outer layer is cut in 1.5 inch width from our premium full-grain 8-9 oz veg-tanned leather according to your size specification (be sure to review our sizing method in the attached pictures).
* The outer layer is skived at both ends down to around cheapest 6-oz. This thins the belt a bit at both ends for less bulk around and through the buckle.
* The edge is stitch-grooved to provide recessed stitching.
* The backing is cut from premium 2-3 oz, 4-5 oz, or 6-7 oz full-grain veg-tanned leather (depending on you selection of light-, mid-, or heavy-weight).
* The backing is cemented to the back of the outer layer with flesh sides together (with both sides smooth, the belt goes on and off with ease).
* The backing is trimmed to size and all edges are sanded, beveled and burnished.
* The Leather is hand-died in walnut then finished with a protective leather balm and hand-rubbed to a glossy finish.
* The belt is stitched with nylon thread using a hand-stitcher for added stability.
* A premium roller buckle is attached along with a matching keeper using Chicago screws. The buckle is the perfect length to accommodate the thickness of the belt. The Chicago screws allow for inter-changing the buckle if desired.
The result is a gorgeous, durable, and stable gun belt that you'll love for years. Thicknesses of the light-, mid-, and heavy-weight are around 0.17”, 0.20”, and 0.23”.
Sizing: Please be sure to review our sizing chart in the pictures and order your belt accordingly. Our belts are sized by the length from the tip of the buckle prong to the center hole (see figures). Specify this measurement based on the same measurement from a favorite belt (measure to most used hole).
Returns: Since this is a custom-made item, we don't accept returns on this belt (unless, of course, there is a defect in workmanship).
Lead-time: Please allow a two-week lead time to have the belt custom made to your size.
