In 2003 I had a wonderful model, an 18-year-old student cheapest of drama Claire. We worked on many sketches and paintings all of which were very successful and a sell-out. A few of my nude prints are a result of the life drawing sessions with Claire.

In 2014 she came into the gallery with her husband (who was the boyfriend in 2003). Now she was a mother of three little boys and just as beautiful as then.

She remarked it was really nice to have these beautiful images of her 10+ years younger, and at the same time, it felt strange to know that the pictures with her likeness hang on the walls of people she doesn't know, all around the world.

Etching is an intaglio printmaking technique. It is a rather complex process, requiring many specific materials, like polished metal plates, acids, acid-proof grounds etc. The printing process is all done by hand, in a printmaking studio, on an old-fashioned printing press.
