19thC Burnished Tin Clamshell Tape Measure

A bi-valve shaped tape measure, how unusual.

Measuring 2 1/4 long inches by 1 1/2 inches wide by 1/4 inch deep, it is in very cheapest good condition with minor signs of wear attendant with age and use.

Probably made in Germany, or England - its a fun piece to add to your sewing collection.
