This is a lovely antique Edwardian era silver thimble and holder - the thimble is hallmarked for Chester 1917 - the maker's initials read CB
The thimble case bears the name of the jeweller:-
P SCOTT THE CASH JEWELLER 15 NORTH STREET TAUNTON
The inside of the case has a cream silk lid lining and the mount is made out of Royal Blue velvet
It has a hook fastener to the front
The thimble measures 3/4 inch high (just under 2 cms) - circumference (widest point the base) 2 inches (5 cms) - weight 4.4 gms
Both the thimble and box are in a very good condition overall - no holes or splits - few minor scuff marks to the case commensurate with age and wear
A lovely sewing collectible which would make a lovely gift
